When is it worth ordering a custom painting?
When ordering a custom painting, we shape every detail together to ensure the final piece fits perfectly into your home. The size, shape, technique, colors, and shades are all tailored to your vision.
Many people love this option because the existing colors in their home, such as doors, furniture, or upholstery don’t always match ready-made artworks. A custom piece can subtly reflect these colors, instantly creating harmony.
Whether your goal is to create a striking focal point, highlight the character of a space or bring warmth and coziness to your home, the artwork can be extravagant, understated, Japanese-inspired or richly textured — the style is fully adapted to your taste.

No worries! Many clients start from previous artworks or inspiration images. We discuss what you like and what you don’t, and the final concept can even be assembled from several pieces.
If you send a photo of the painting’s intended location and surroundings, it helps guide the design. On-site measurements make it even easier to identify colors and suggest the ideal size. Even during online consultations, I can provide advice, and I’ll be there every step of the way to ensure the best possible decisions are made.
What if I don’t like the final result?
During the creation process, I continuously send progress photos, so you can request changes at any stage, even in multiple rounds. My goal is for the final piece to fully match your vision and for both of us to be completely satisfied. If, after all this, you still don’t like the painting, you are of course not obliged to purchase it — though this has never happened before.
How much more does a custom painting cost?
The price of a custom painting depends on the size, technique, and availability of the canvas. It is generally 15–20% higher than a ready-made artwork. In every case, I provide a personalized, custom quote, so you’ll know exactly what to expect.

The creation process usually takes 3–8 weeks, depending on the size and canvas availability. If there is a specific date or event to accommodate, a shorter deadline may be possible — this is always arranged individually.

From the moment you get in touch, I guide you through every step: from the initial concept to the final artwork on your wall. My goal is to make the process simple, transparent, and enjoyable for you, while ensuring the result perfectly reflects the mood of your home and your personal taste.

Get in Touch
The first step is always listening to your ideas. It’s helpful if you can send a photo of the intended location for the painting, as well as references to my previous works. We’ll discuss the desired colors and techniques, and whether you want the piece to be bold, colorful, cheerful, light, or shimmering — in short, the overall mood you wish to create.

Consultation
If needed, I am happy to provide advice on the size and placement of your painting, either in person or online. We identify the colors using swatches, material samples you provide, or directly on site, and discuss the technical details — either verbally or with the help of a visual mock-up. Final Quote and Order
We finalize the parameters and the quote, and to confirm the order, I issue an invoice for a 50% deposit. At this point, the creation of your painting begins, and the canvas is prepared to the specified size.

Progress Photos & Feedback
I send progress photos of the painting during its creation, giving you the opportunity to provide feedback at any stage. This can be done in multiple rounds, as the goal is to create a painting that fully satisfies both of us.

Final Touches
Based on our discussions, I complete and finalize the painting. I will send photos of the finished piece, and it can also be viewed in person before delivery. If needed, I arrange for framing and handle the delivery to the framer.

Delivery and Additional Services
The handover takes place at a pre-arranged time, either with free home delivery or in person at the studio. WHAT SIZES ARE AVAILABLE?
All canvases are custom-made, which means virtually any size is possible – even extra-large pieces up to 3.5 meters wide. This also defines the maximum size that can be shipped safely.
Common sizes include: 100×150 cm, 120×120 cm, 150×150 cm, 100×100 cm, 200×100 cm, etc.
I also keep a selection of blank canvases in stock. Choosing from these may shorten the production time.
STANDARD OR REINFORCED CANVAS FRAME?
Both options are available:
Standard (2 cm depth):For larger sizes, framing is recommended, although it can also be left unframed or added later if desired.
Reinforced (4 cm depth):Naturally stable and modern even without a frame, making it a popular choice for smaller works as well. In this version, the 4 cm edge of the canvas remains visible, which I can paint according to your preference. This type can also be ordered with a central support, allowing for extra-large formats.

FRAMING
Framing is not mandatory, but it certainly adds aesthetic value. I am happy to assist you in choosing the right option — from color and type to overall style. My personal favorite is the floating frame, which highlights the edges of the painting while creating a refined shadow gap.
Framing is only available for standard (2 cm depth) canvases. I also take care of transportation, return, and if requested delivery after framing.
EDGE PAINTING – SOLID OR WRAPPED?
The sides of each painting are always hand-painted, which is especially striking on 4 cm deep canvases. You can choose between two options:
Solid color edges— for example white, black, grey, or a shade taken from the painting itself.
Wrap-around edges— where the colors of the artwork gently extend over the sides of the canvas. The latter beautifully emphasizes the handcrafted, one-of-a-kind nature of the painting. This is the option I usually recommend as a starting point, and it can always be adjusted later if needed.

COLORS
In my work, I mainly use blended, muted tones – these integrate beautifully into most interiors. Sometimes, it’s enough for the painting to echo just a few colors already present in the space.
If you’re aiming for complete harmony, I’m happy to work with specific color codes (e.g. RAL, NCS) or material samples. During an on-site consultation, I can also assist with accurate color matching in person.
Tip:Consider metallic accents – a touch of gold, silver or bronze can often elegantly tie the painting into your space, reflecting details such as lighting, handles or fixtures.
PRIMING, LAYERS & TEXTURES
You don’t need to worry about the technical side, but it’s worth knowing that each of my works is created with multiple layers of priming and carefully built-up structures .
It’s this interplay of layers and textures that creates a true three-dimensional effect,something you can only fully experience in person. The paintings reveal different facets from every angle , inviting you to touch, trace, and feel the details.
