BEGINNINGS
My Motivation and Story
Welcome, I am Aliz Edit Kurfis – abstract painter, architectural designer, and mother. With a degree in architectural design and a portfolio of beautifully realized projects, I embarked several years ago on my artistic career with ArtLiz Design, in its current form. Both architectural design and creating abstract paintings are creative processes filled with challenges and joy. While my architectural work emphasizes my technical and engineering side, painting allows my artistic side to flourish, bringing balance to my dual professions.
I approach my architectural work with innovative ideas, diligence, and attention to detail, yet the long-awaited results often take time to materialize. In painting, however, my visions and dreams take shape more quickly, and I often have the chance to put the finishing touch on my creations. Collaborating with clients and interior designers , my paintings bring spaces to life, creating harmony through colors and shades. It is truly a rewarding experience to contribute something so special and unique to an interior.

For me, creating a painting always begins with understanding the interior: the dimensions and proportions of the space, the lighting conditions, and the harmony of colors and materials all guide the process.
Simply choosing the ideal location and size for a painting can breathe new life into a space, as its placement and positioning can completely transform the atmosphere.
My creations are 3D artworks, where structures, textures, and layers become tangible. Each piece is unique, signed, and numbered. The combination of vibrant colors, layered brushwork, and high-quality materials ensures that every work is long-lasting and valuable, whether the goal is to create harmony, highlight a focal point, or elegantly fill a space.

Through our comprehensive services, I strive to provide a seamless, tailored process: from consultations, visual mock-ups, and on-site meetings to framing, delivery, and installation coordination — all to ensure the final result is truly perfect.
For me, creating art is the essence of inner freedom: the harmony of painting and spatial design, where the interplay of colors, layers, and proportions directs attention to beauty. The greatest joy comes when a piece finds its final place and gains new meaning together with the space. This moment is made complete by the positive feedback from those who experience it.
